With its humble beginning in 2003, CSSH came into existence as a small diagnostic and OPD centre, located in Pradhan Nagar, Siliguri. In 2005 the foundation stone was laid down in Himachal Vihar for what is now known as Dr Chhang’s Super Specialty Hospital Pvt. Ltd. On 4th October 2008 CSSH became operational with the opening of our Neuro OPD and IPD, boasting a complete diagnostic facility. Since then there has been positive advancement in neurosurgical facilities and consistent growth of the hospital. CSSH reached a significant milestone with the commencement of its cardiology and cardiothoracic department in 2010 and allied department such as Nephrology unit with dialysis facilities, Department of Paediatrics and Neonatology, Dental Surgery and Traumatology with comprehensive Trauma Management Team.

Today CSSH is a 200 bedded hospital with various departments such as Emergency Medicine, General Medicine, Neuro-medicine, Neurosurgery, Radio Frequency and Stereotaxic Surgery, General Surgery, Cardiology, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Nephrology, Otolaryngology, Laparoscopic Surgery, Physiotherapy, Gynaecology, Paediatrics, Orthopaedics, Radiology and Dental Surgery. The Hospital also provides Medical Investigations facilities such as MRI, CT scan, Echocardiography, BMD, Digital EEG, Digital X-ray, 12 channel ECG/TMT/24 hrs. Holter monitoring, Pathology, Microbiology, Histopathology, FNAC etc.

Since past Ten Years, the hospital has been committed to provide the best possible healthcare services. Continuing these values forward, the hospital is currently working with ESI (Employees’ State Insurance) which is a government run scheme to provide better healthcare for the underprivileged.

In our country we do have very advance medical and surgical arrangements, but most are too expensive and beyond financial capabilities of common people. The government does provide hospital for free treatments, but unfortunately effective quality of the surgical, medical, diagnostic and pathological are few and far between.

Siliguri has been the gateway to Bhutan, Nepal, Bangladesh, Sikkim and the North Eastern states of India. Even though our city acts as a corridor to three foreign nations and the Himalayan jewels of our country; it is yet to be developed completely. In the last two decades, our city has come a long way from being a small valley settlement, to a healthcare provider, not only for herself but also for neighbouring states and foreign countries alike.
